Where is the best place to watch the Monza F1 Grand Prix from? Which grandstand to choose and why? And is it worth buying the best General Admission ticket? Check out our guide to the F1 grandstands at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy.

26 | Laterale Destra

The grandstand is located on the finishing straight and is among the most popular. Here is where you will see the most. You will enjoy the view of the action in the pit lane, the pit lane just before the start and you will also have a great view of the ceremony podium - in case you stay in the grandstand and don't go to the track invasion. If you go for track invasion, you will have a significant advantage because you will be one of the first on the track. The grandstand provides complete facilities with food, drink and toilets. In addition, it's very close to the Fan Zone.

Sector A will give you the best starting grid view.

Sector B is an excellent compromise between the view of the starting grid and the ceremony stage.

Sector C has the best view of the ceremony stage.

Grandstands 27-30

These grandstands lie directly under the most popular Grandstand 26. They are smaller prefabricated grandstands near the track but slightly lower than the top rows of the permanent grandstand. From here, you will enjoy a great view of the pit lane before the start and be the first to get on the track during the post-race track invasion.

Grandstand 27 is closest to the first starting positions on the starting grid.

Grandstand 30 is closer to the Curva Parabolica curve and has a great view of the ceremony stage.

Grandstand 1 | Centrale

If you want to soak up the atmosphere of a century of racing history at Autodromo Monza, this is your choice. The history of the Centrale Grandstand dates back to the first race in 1922. Your view will be the same as when the legends of Italian racing history stood at the start.

The grandstand is right in front of the start line, so this is where you will have the best view of the fights and will be the first to see who won. This grandstand's upper part is roofed, and the lower rows have a nice open view; however, head there with either headgear or a raincoat, depending on what the weather will be like in Monza.

Grandstands 2-3-4

The grandstand complex is located directly behind the start line. From the seats, you will directly experience what happens after the start. And it's worth it! Twenty world's fastest cars will roll under you in a split second, and you'll be euphoric as you search for your favourite and its position. Here you'll enjoy a great experience of the speed of the cars. The Grandstand has excellent access to the F1 Monza Fanzone.

Grandstand 5 | Piscina

This grandstand is an excellent compromise between the stands lying along the start straight, overlooking the starting grid and the first chicane. The cars will rush past you at a very high speed. The experience of the sound here will be exclusive.

Grandstand 6

The Prima Variante chicane is one of the most legendary corners in the F1 series. It's narrow, and the cars hurtle through this chicane at extreme speeds after the start. You won't be short of exciting action on the track in the following laps, too. Here is where the key overtaking manoeuvres are often happening.

This grandstand is the furthest from the track of all the grandstands in the Prima Variante chicane. You'll have a great view of the action on the track and the atmosphere in the stands.

B
It offers an attractive compromise from the grandstand's complex in the Prima Variante chicane. In terms of the price you pay and the outlook you gain, this option is very tempting.

C
Here, you will enjoy the view of the chicane at its best. It's closest to the apex of the turn, so you're as close to the turn as possible.

Grandstand 8

Grandstand 8 lies in the chicane of the Prima Variante but on the outside of the track. This place is better accessible from the road and parking lot. Its most significant advantage is an outstanding view of the F1 cars approaching it. You'll enjoy the spectacle of the breaking point and the experience of the F1 cars' extreme aerodynamics.

B
It's near the track, where you get the best contact with F1 cars.

Grandstand 9

Right here, you have a great chance to see duels literally wheel to wheel. The F1 cars roll out of the legendary Curva Granda and attempt to gain a crucial advantage in the chicane Variante Seconda. You're on the perfect stand if you're eager to see the overtaking manoeuvres.

Grandstand 10 | Roggio

Right here, you have a great chance to see duels literally wheel to wheel. The F1 cars roll out of the legendary Curva Granda and attempt to gain a crucial advantage in the chicane Variante Seconda. If you're eager to see the overtaking manoeuvres, you're on the best stand.

The Grandstand 10 is a more cost-effective variant of the Grandstand 9.

Grandstands 12-13-14-15-16

A piece of F1 history in Monza in one place! The chicane named after Alberto Ascari, who died here in 1955 while testing for Ferrari, is one of the critical sections of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The grandstand provides a great view of the chicane, where the fight for the Italian F1 Grand Prix is often decided.

Grandstand 14
It lies in a more remote part of the track but offers a fascinating overview of what's happening throughout the chicane.

It offers a great view of the Ascari chicane exit and the point where the F1 cars accelerate after passing through the chicane.

Grandstand 16 | Ascari
Here, you will enjoy the view of the cars heading into one of the most strategically important sections of the race, and you will see the crucial moments of F1 in Monza.

Grandstands 18-19-20

The 18-19-20 stands' main feature is the intimate atmosphere given by the size of each and offers an exciting view of the strategic fights after the exit of the Variante Ascari chicane.

It is located closest to the Variante Ascari chicane; this is where all the action begins!

Grandstand 19 | Uscita Ascari B
It offers a perfect view of the Variante Ascari exit and touches the track.

Grandstand 20 | Uscita Ascari C
In addition to the view of the Variante Ascari exit, you will have a view of the swift climb up the key straight before the Curva Parabolica curve.

Grandstand 23

The grandstand is located at the exit of the Curva Parabolica curve. From here, you will watch the cars coming up the circuit's last few metres and have a good view of the pit lane entrance.

Grandstand GF13

This GF13 grandstand's complex lies on the inner side of the Curva Parabolica. This position provides a view from the immediate vicinity. There is no need for any escape zones here. The grandstand here is the closest to the track.

It offers a view of the entrance of the parabolic curve, where you will witness the drivers' tactics above all.

Grandstand GF13-B
It offers a view of the entrance of the parabolic curve, where you will mainly witness the drivers' tactics.

Grandstand GF13-C

Grandstand 21

This grandstand offers an exciting cost-effective value among all the seating stands at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. From here, you can see the Curva Parabolica curve - the last turn of the circuit. Right here, you will witness decisive moments.

Grandstand 22

The grandstand is located at the entrance to the Curva Parabolica curve; however, it is slightly further away from the track. It offers a unique view of passing through the curve. It is also here where you will most appreciate the incredible aerodynamics of the F1 cars.

Grandstand 24 | Vedano

The grandstand is located at the finishing straight's entrance, near the exit of the Curva Parabolica curve. Here, you will be the first to see who will win the Italian F1 Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. You will also enjoy the incredible cheering atmosphere for which this grandstand is famous. You'll also be close to all the action behind the scenes, including the F1 Fanzone.

Grandstand 25

The grandstand is located at the finishing straight's entrance, near the exit of the Curva Parabolica curve. Here, you will be the first to see who will win the Italian F1 Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. You will also enjoy the incredible cheering atmosphere for which this grandstand is famous. You'll also be close to all the action behind the scenes, including the F1 Fanzone.

The grandstand is a small prefabricated grandstand built only for the F1 race. It is located under the Grandstand, 24, closer to the track but lower.

General Admission

With a General Admission ticket, you can go anywhere for the best price to the natural grandstand, located in the inner part of the track at the Curva Grande Curva di Lesmo, Curva Parabolica and along the straight before the Variante Ascari chicane. If you want the best spot, you will need to arrive and take care of it first thing in the morning. Prepare for a day spent in the crowd but also a unique atmosphere. Screens are only available at selected locations.
